Last year, when we were gathering the materials for our dossier ("paperchasing"), we created a website for our family and friends to follow as we waited to bring our beautiful daughter home from China.
We wanted to explain our choice to adopt from China and to describe the process for those who were not familiar with its intricacies. We also thought experiencing such a monumental life event so far away from the people we love would be difficult, so we decided to have our friends and family follow our journey while we were in China through our online journal and photo album.
The response was overwhelming! Our loved ones told us they felt like they "were there with us every step of the way." They remarked that they "couldn't wait to wake up the next morning to read about our newest adventure."
